A Non-profit Organization Providing Natural Resource Restoration, Conservation & Preservation

Our Mission Statement

The purpose of the Flintsteel Restoration Association is to restore the relationship between people and the natural environment.  Our goal is to achieve ecological and economic sustainability in the Northern Great Lakes, through the advancement of ecological science and education for communities that face natural resource management decisions.

The Association will accomplish this through providing charitable, scientific, and educational assistance for disadvantaged communities at minimal cost.  In order to protect and/or restore public natural resources, and by development of sustainable natural resource management plans, environmental standards, impact assessments, remedial plans and environmental restoration/monitoring plans that enhance public natural resource quality.  Also by the identification and protection of critical habitat areas in the Lake Superior Basin, and by coordinating a voluntary association of persons and organizations who are interested in providing ecosystem stewardship to communities in need.
